Requesting access to a film

Note: This article is for students and staff who use Kanopy with a university.

To request access to a film that's not in your institution's collection, find the title on Kanopy and complete the "Request for Access" form.

Finding a title

1. Search for a title.
2. Select Request Access above the results.
   
3. Select the title you're interested in.

Completing the form

If you have a Kanopy account, your name and email address are entered automatically.

If you need access right away, leave "Title needed by" as today's date. Providing a "Title needed until" date can be useful to your institution, but it's not required.

Check the box and select Request Access to submit your request. This form goes to your institution for review.
