Showing a film in class or at an academic event

Note: This article is for students and staff who use Kanopy with a university. Public performance rights don't apply to public library patrons.

If your school offers Kanopy, students and teachers can use any Kanopy film in classes.

Films with public performance rights (PPR) can also be used for extracurricular events, as long as the event:

1. Is planned and run by a student, employee, or faculty member
2. Doesn't charge admission
3. Limits attendance to students, faculty, and employees of your university
4. Isn't promoted to the general public

Enable the "Public Performance" filter while searching on the Kanopy website to find films with PPR.
