Entering a PIN with your library card

If you're being asked to enter a PIN with a library card when you weren't prompted for one before, your library updated their authentication system. You'll need to enter your library card number and PIN when adding this library to Kanopy or reactivating this library membership on Kanopy.

Your PIN is set and managed by your library. They often make your initial PIN the last four digits of your phone number. For help with your library card or PIN, please contact your library directly.

Adding or updating a PIN

On the Kanopy website, you can proactively update or add your library PIN.

1. Log in to your Kanopy account from a web or mobile browser.
2. Go to My Account and select My Libraries.
3. Select then Edit on the library you want to update.
4. Enter your library card number and PIN, then select Save.
